Immersion tank testing system USTB 600/5-1C

 The immersion tank testing system enables highly precise inspection of a wide variety of test specimens with different geometries. It is used wherever maximum flexibility is required, particularly for quality and cleanliness inspections of steel samples in accordance with various applicable standards and regulations. The system fulfills the demanding requirements of the SEP 1927 standard. In the highest inspection class, this corresponds to a minimum reliably detectable reflector size (KSR) of 0.3 mm, enabling even very small defects to be detected reliably. Depending on the specific application, this value can be even lower.

 Perfectly coordinated components

To ensure this high level of detection sensitivity, particular emphasis was placed on the precise guidance of the specimens already during the development of the testing system. In addition, interference effects were minimized thanks to the drive technology developed in-house. Software specifically developed for this application, featuring an intuitive and user-friendly interface, enables fully automated evaluation of inspection results for the first time. This significantly simplifies the inspection process, increases inspection reliability and improves the comparability of results. Short setup and inspection times, supported by a powerful 2D CAD import function, also help to significantly reduce the costs of quality and cleanliness inspections.
