Hollow shaft axles testing system HWP-PD 2700/30-90
The HWP-PD 2700/30-90 is the first mechanized testing system for longitudinally drilled wheelset axles that combines two testing methods in a single system: ultrasonic testing and eddy current testing. Regardless of whether the axle length ranges from 1.5 m to 2.7 m or bore diameters from 25 mm to 110 mm are involved, the system covers a wide range of geometries. In combination with a 2D CAD interface, it can be quickly adapted and adjusted to different axle geometries. This provides a powerful tool for the industrial production of longitudinally drilled wheelset axles.
Combined testing methods for volume and surface inspection
For the first time, ultrasonic testing and eddy current testing are combined in a single system for the production inspection of longitudinally drilled wheelset axles. While ultrasonic technology is used for volumetric inspection and the detection of surface cracks, eddy current technology is employed for inspection of the bore surface. Both methods operate within a shared inspection process and are combined and visualized in specially developed software. The system complies with all relevant standards and regulations and also features patented flange technology for easy adaptation to different axle geometries.
The overall concept, consisting of patented flange technology, a wide covered range of bore diameters and axle lengths, a simple adjustment process and powerful software, enables a high degree of flexibility and detection reliability in the inspection of wheelset axles. If required, the system can be combined with the solid axle testing system VWP-PD 2700/80-320, creating a comprehensive inspection solution for different axle designs.
